Yongin City to Recruit Urban Farmers for Community Garden Operation Until the 14th
Targeting 815 Teams at Yongin Citizen Farm in Gonse-dong and Gomae-dong

Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province will recruit a total of 815 urban farmer teams to cultivate vegetable gardens at the Yongin Citizen Farm in Gonse-dong and Gomae-dong, Giheung-gu, from the 3rd to the 14th of next month.

View original imageThe recruitment targets are a total of 815 teams, including ▲760 general allotment teams, ▲40 special allotment teams, and ▲15 box garden teams. Special allotments are for families with three or more children, multicultural families, people with disabilities, and families of national merit recipients. The box garden teams are designed to allow people with mobility difficulties to easily maintain a garden.
The garden allotment fee is 30,000 KRW. The cultivation period is about eight months, from the end of March to the end of November. Any citizen registered as a resident in the city can apply. Applicants can visit the Yongin Citizen Farm office located at 554 Gomae-dong, Giheung-gu, or apply through the Gyeonggi Province Shared Services website.
The city will select recipients through a random draw and announce the results on the Agricultural Technology Center website on the 20th of next month. Selected recipients must complete preliminary training and submit a compliance agreement.
