Busan Port Authority to Hire 43 Employees This Year
Approximately 7 New Regular Employees to Be Hired
Around 36 Specialized Contract, Parental Leave Substitute, and Fixed-term Positions Planned
Busan Port Authority (BPA) announced on the 15th that it plans to hire around 43 new employees this year.
The number of regular full-time new hires is expected to be around 7, with the goal of conducting 100% early recruitment in the first half of the year to invigorate the youth employment market. The recruitment announcement will be made in February, and appointments are planned for the end of March.
In addition to the employees hired as of January 1, BPA plans to recruit 12 more participants for the experiential youth internship program, which is regularly held twice a year. The announcement will be made in April, with appointments in July.
Both regular full-time employees and experiential youth interns will be selected through written exams, document screening, and interviews. Youth interns who are selected as outstanding interns based on evaluations during their work period can receive an additional 1 to 3% score advantage in each stage of the regular full-time recruitment process.
BPA plans to hire accountants and real estate experts as specialized contract workers to strengthen internal capabilities in professional roles. Additionally, to minimize work disruption and support work-family balance for employees, substitute personnel will be hired to cover parental leave.
Kang Jun-seok, President of BPA, stated, “Continuously creating good jobs is the social responsibility and role of public institutions. We will make every effort to ensure fair recruitment based on job competency and actively secure talented individuals who will contribute to the development of Busan Port and BPA.”
