Jeonnam Province Donates 1 Billion Won to Support Families of Jeju Air Plane Crash Victims
Designated Donations Through the National Disaster Relief Association
2.6 Billion KRW in Contributions from 13 Cities and Provinces
Jeonnam Province announced that it will donate 1 billion KRW in relief funds to support the families of the victims of the 'December 29 Jeju Air passenger plane disaster'.
This donation was prepared as a sincere gesture from Jeonnam Province to offer some comfort and hope to the bereaved families.
Jeonnam Province, along with 13 other metropolitan cities and provinces nationwide, is delivering donations to the victims' families in the form of designated contributions through the National Disaster Relief Association. As of the 14th, a total of 2.6 billion KRW has been donated and is expected to be delivered before the Lunar New Year holiday.
Separately, Jeonnam Province employees are voluntarily participating in fundraising efforts.
Kim Yungrok, Governor of Jeonnam Province, said, "I express my deepest condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones. I hope to offer some small support as they overcome this difficult time," adding, "Jeonnam Province will continue to do its utmost in the follow-up measures after the accident so that the bereaved families do not lose courage and can steadfastly return to their daily lives."
