Yeosu City to Provide Adoption Support for Lost and Abandoned Animals
60% Support for Neutering and More... Up to 150,000 KRW Per Animal
Yeosu City, Jeonnam (Mayor Jung Kimyung) announced that it will implement the "2025 Lost and Abandoned Animal Adoption Fee Support Project" to promote the adoption of lost and abandoned animals and to reduce the financial burden on adopters.
If you adopt an animal from the Yeosu City Animal Shelter for companionship, the city will support 60% of the costs incurred at the time of adoption, including treatment fees, vaccination fees, neutering/spaying surgery fees, grooming fees, and pet insurance enrollment fees.

View original imageThe support is capped at a maximum of 150,000 KRW per animal, and each adopter can receive support for up to three animals.
To apply for the adoption fee support, you must complete microchip animal registration and submit the required documents to the Yeosu City Animal Shelter in person, by mail, email, or fax within six months.
A city official stated, "We hope that with changing perceptions of lost and abandoned animals and the spread of adoption culture, many animals will find new families."
