"K-Sports Jokgu Goes Global"... Lee Dae-jae Elected New President of Korea Jokgu Association
Lee Dae-jae, CEO of Korea Stone, was elected as the new president of the Korea Jokgu Association.
At the election for the 3rd president of the Korea Jokgu Association held on the 13th at the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee, candidate Lee Dae-jae (Senior Vice President of the Korea Jokgu Association) won 103 votes, defeating the other candidate who received 55 votes, and became the head of the K-Sports Jokgu Association.

View original imageThe newly appointed President Lee Dae-jae is a Jokgu player who previously served as the president of the Paju City Jokgu Association and as a director of the Gyeonggi-do Sports Council. He played a major role in launching the Jokgu Professional Federation last year.
President Lee expressed his election sentiment by calling for the Jokgu renaissance in Korea to continue its passion to the world.
He said, “Communication, cooperation, and challenge in a small space are the true essence of Jokgu,” and emphasized, “I will make it a sport that anyone can easily access.”
President Lee entered this election pledging to make Jokgu an official event at the National Sports Festival. He also promised support for the Jokgu Professional Federation and plans to expand the K-Sports base by strengthening support for women, youth, and senior divisions.
He also announced plans to host the World Jokgu Championship this year and to promote the 2026 Jokgu Asian Championship for the globalization of Jokgu.

Newly appointed President Lee Dae-jae said, “I will also focus on the balanced development of elite sports and recreational sports,” and added, “I will realize pledges such as a dedicated Jokgu broadcasting channel, Jokgu promotion law, and the construction of a Jokgu hall during my term.”
