In particular, the initiative aims to motivate senior operational staff with extensive experience in production sites who perform innovative tasks.
On the 12th, EcoPro announced that Bae Moon-soon from the EcoPro BM Equipment Technology Team was selected as the first ‘Myeongin’. EcoPro’s Myeongin are chosen from employees with over 10 years of experience, considering job expertise and contributions to internal innovation.
Bae is recognized for his deep understanding of equipment operation, excellent problem-solving skills, and communication with colleagues, which have significantly contributed to improving productivity by identifying errors on-site. Bae joined EcoPro in 2015 after working at a medical device company. He played a major role in perfectly setting up equipment during the construction of the ‘CAM4’ plant at EcoPro BM in Ochang, Chungbuk. Bae was acknowledged as an ‘Equipment Troubleshooter’ and was selected as a setup man during the establishment of the EcoPro Pohang Campus in 2018. Even under accident-free conditions, he devoted himself day and night to enhancing equipment productivity. The rapid increase in yield at the Pohang Campus is attributed by those around him to Bae’s equipment management experience.

Bae especially made efforts to prevent recurrence of the same problems by gathering employees from related departments for ‘focused discussions’ to identify the root causes. Bae said, “The start of problem-solving is having employees openly discuss and bring issues to the surface. When employees freely share ideas and participate in improving internal operations, their sense of accomplishment increases.” He added, “With the planned construction of an integrated cathode material plant in Indonesia and other overseas factories, the demand for equipment specialists is expected to rise. I will share my know-how 100% and systematically train juniors.”
