Power Outage in Bitgaram-dong Area, Naju
Korea Electric Power Corporation Investigates Cause of Underground Cable Damage
A power outage occurred in the Bitgaram-dong area of Naju, Jeollanam-do.
According to Korea Electric Power Corporation and others, the outage occurred at around 5:14 a.m. on the 11th in Bitgaram-dong as well as Geumcheon-myeon and Sanpo-myeon. The damage is estimated to have affected approximately 3,230 households.
Korea Electric Power Corporation resumed power supply at 5:16 a.m., just two minutes later. However, it is reported that some apartment complexes near the affected areas experienced significant inconvenience as it took additional time for their own facilities to restart.
Korea Electric Power Corporation believes the outage was caused by damage to an underground cable and is currently investigating the exact cause.
