On the 7th, Westin Chosun Hotel Busan Hosts Participants from Universities, Government, Local Authorities, and Regional Hospitals
Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo) hosted the "Glocal University 30 Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Forum for Regional Revitalization in the Advanced Regenerative Medicine Field," organized by the Glocal University 30 Project Group of the Industry-Academia Cooperation Foundation.

View original imageThe forum, held on the 7th at the Westin Chosun Hotel Busan, was attended by over 40 participants including representatives from Dong-A University, Busan Institute of Science and Technology Advancement, Southeast Regional Radiation Medical Center, Dong-A University Hospital, Pusan National University Hospital, Inje University Haeundae Paik Hospital, Kosin University Gospel Hospital, and the Advanced Industry Bureau of Busan City Hall, as well as officials from universities, government, local governments, and regional hospitals.
The forum served as an opportunity to gather on-site opinions for "activating a cooperative network among related institutions in response to the revised Advanced Regenerative Bio Act in the advanced regenerative medicine field and sharing current status and issues," and to discuss the "innovation and vision of industry-academia-research cooperation governance for sustainable growth as a Glocal University and Field Campus."
Invited lecturers included Professor Heo Seok-jae of Dong-A University Hospital and Director Lee Dong-hyun of the Regenerative Medicine Promotion Foundation, who gave presentations on "Clinical Research Result Reports" and "Changes and Future Strategic Plans Following the Enactment of the Advanced Regenerative Bio Act," respectively.
After the lectures, a comprehensive discussion session was held. Discussants included Professor Kim Il-hwan of Inje University Haeundae Paik Hospital, Professor Kim Hyung-hoe of Pusan National University Hospital, Director Park Nam-cheol of Centum General Hospital, Professor Shin Ho-sik of Kosin University Gospel Hospital, Professor Oh Sung-yong of Dong-A University Hospital, Professor Lee Hong-je of Southeast Regional Radiation Medical Center, Director Joo Yong-min of Saeron Clinic, and Director Hwang Seong-hwan of Busan Port Hospital. They shared their opinions on advanced regenerative medicine and exchanged views from various perspectives including policy, industry-academia cooperation, and future strategic plans.
Professor Kim Seok-ho of Dong-A University stated, "This forum was an important occasion where stakeholders from industry, academia, and research gathered to have meaningful discussions for the development of the advanced regenerative medicine field and regional revitalization," adding, "I hope that the discussions will be concretized into actionable policies and cooperation models, providing an opportunity for Busan to leap forward as a hub for advanced regenerative medicine."

He further emphasized, "Through innovation in industry-academia-research cooperation governance and the establishment of a sustainable cooperative network, universities, regional hospitals, government, and related institutions must join forces to enable the region to play a leading role in advanced regenerative medicine research and clinical fields."
