Busan Office of Education Selected as Outstanding Institution for Procurement Service Usage Last Year

Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Acting Superintendent Choi Yoon-hong) announced that it has been selected as an ‘Excellent Institution for Procurement Service Usage in 2024’ in recognition of its contributions to the development of procurement administration.
The award ceremony for institutions and distinguished public officials will be held at the Busan Regional Public Procurement Service on the 9th at 11 a.m.
The Excellent Institution for Procurement Service Usage is selected annually by comprehensively evaluating public institutions using the Public Procurement Service based on procurement project usage performance, growth rate compared to the previous year, and contributions to the development of procurement projects.
Busan Metropolitan Office of Education recorded a performance of 203 billion KRW in 2024, an increase of 32.6% compared to 153.1 billion KRW in 2023. Additionally, in May last year, Busan Metropolitan Office of Education was selected as an excellent institution for seven consecutive years in the ‘2023 School Market Integrity Contract Category for Metropolitan and Provincial Offices of Education.’

Kim Young-jin, Director of the Administration Bureau, stated, “Busan Office of Education is working together with the education office and schools at all levels to spread a transparent and fair contract culture,” adding, “We will actively use procurement services to expand public purchases from small businesses, women-owned businesses, disabled-owned businesses, social enterprises, and to revitalize the local economy.”
