View original imageA fire broke out at a tomato experience farm in Daedong-myeon, Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam, at around 2:14 a.m. on the 8th.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, the fire was completely extinguished by the responding fire authorities at around 2:48 a.m.
The fire completely reduced one vinyl greenhouse to ashes, destroying the tomatoes grown inside and various equipment and supplies.
The fire department estimated property damage at approximately 14.4 million KRW, but there were no casualties.
A total of 32 personnel, including firefighters, police officers, and Korea Electric Power Corporation employees, along with 12 firefighting vehicles, were deployed to the scene.

Based on witness reports stating, "While resting at the house next to the vinyl greenhouse, they heard the sound of electricity sparking and upon checking the greenhouse, saw smoke and flames," and on-site investigations, the fire authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire.
