Gwangju FC Signs Former Bundesliga Striker Park Inhyeok
Professional football club Gwangju FC has signed forward Park Inhyeok (29), who previously played in the German Bundesliga.
Gwangju FC announced on the 8th that they have acquired Park Inhyeok, who played for Daejeon and Jeonnam, to strengthen their attacking power.
Park Inhyeok, standing at 186cm and weighing 80kg, is recognized as a striker with excellent aerial dominance, space penetration, and the ability to link up with teammates.
Having played for both the U-20 and U-23 national teams, Park Inhyeok began his professional career in Europe. After attending Kyung Hee University, he joined Hoffenheim in the German Bundesliga in the summer of 2015, and later played on loan for FSV Frankfurt in the German second division, FC Koper in Slovenia, and Vojvodina in Serbia. In 2018, he made his K League debut wearing the uniform of Daejeon Citizen (now Daejeon Hana Citizen), then in K League 2.
Including the promotion playoffs in the 2018 season, Park Inhyeok scored 7 goals and provided 3 assists in 33 matches. After four seasons with Daejeon, he transferred to Jeonnam Dragons in 2022, where he recorded 7 goals in 38 matches, achieving a total of 24 goals and 6 assists in 138 K League 2 matches. From 2023, he continued his career with K4 League clubs Goyang Happiness and Dangjin Citizen Football Club during his military service. In the 2024 season, he demonstrated his form by scoring 15 goals and providing 3 assists in 16 K4 League matches.
Having finally earned the opportunity to play in K League 1, Park Inhyeok said, "It is a great honor to step onto the K League 1 stage, which I have always dreamed of. I will approach this as if it is my last chance and do my best to prove my worth."
