Gyeongsan City Conducts Obesity Prevention Health Checkups for Children and Adolescents
Happy Life with Free Obesity Prevention Health Checkup
Gyeongsan City in Gyeongbuk is proactively taking care of citizens' health for their happy lives.
Starting from the 7th, Gyeongsan City announced that it will conduct free obesity prevention health checkups twice a year, in the first and second halves, targeting children and adolescents using local community child centers within the city.
There are a total of 22 local community child centers in Gyeongsan City, and about 600 children and adolescents receive free health checkups annually during vacation periods.
This health checkup will be conducted for those who applied with parental consent at the local community child centers at the end of last year. The examination items include ▲10 types of basic blood tests, ▲chest X-ray, and ▲InBody measurement. Individuals with abnormal results will be connected to relevant medical institutions through individual consultations.

An Byeongsuk, director of the Gyeongsan City Public Health Center, said, “We hope this free health checkup will serve as an opportunity to assess the health status of children and adolescents using local community child centers in advance, and we will continue to provide various services so that children can enjoy healthy and happy lives.”
