National Integration Committee to Hold 'Policy Forum on Dignified Aging' on the 17th
The Presidential Committee for National Cohesion will hold a senior policy forum titled "Asking a New Path for a Dignified Old Age" at 10 a.m. on the 17th at the Koreana Hotel.
At the end of last year, the population aged 65 and over exceeded 10 million among the total registered residents, marking the entry into a super-aged society with a proportion of 20%.
The Committee planned the policy forum together with the Korea Senior Citizens Association and the Korean Gerontological Society to discuss improvements in elderly policies for future responses to rapid aging while maintaining the quality of life and dignity of the elderly.
The forum will include various experts related to elderly care who will seek solutions to eliminate blind spots in elderly care, including socially agreed issues such as home-based end-of-life care and raising the elderly age threshold to ensure dignified old age security.
