Jeonju Pungnam Haksa Recruiting 43 New Residents
Applications Accepted from 13th to 24th
Jeonju City, North Jeolla Province, announced on the 7th that it will be recruiting new residents for Jeonju Pungnam Haksa from the 13th to the 24th.
This recruitment is for 43 people. Eligible applicants are those who have graduated or are expected to graduate from high schools in Jeonju City or Wanju County and have been admitted to a two-year or longer regular university located in the Seoul metropolitan area. Additionally, as of the announcement date (January 2), the applicant's guardian must have been registered as a resident in Jeonju City or Wanju County for at least one year.
The city will select residents after evaluating academic performance (50 points) and lifestyle (50 points). Additional points will be given to recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security Program, persons with disabilities, and national merit recipients.
Applicants can apply by visiting Jeonju Pungnam Haksa in person, or by sending an application via email or registered mail.

The city plans to announce the results of the selection process on February 13 through the Jeonju City website and by individual text message after the evaluation is completed.
Meanwhile, Jeonju Pungnam Haksa consists of four buildings from one basement floor to three above-ground floors, and is equipped with various amenities such as a cafeteria providing three meals a day, a gymnasium, a library, and a laundry room. Each room is shared by two people and is fully furnished with desks, beds, wardrobes, showers, toilets, and heating and cooling systems.
Residents of Jeonju Pungnam Haksa can stay for one academic year by paying a registration fee of 70,000 KRW and a monthly usage fee of 150,000 KRW.
