Yeoju City Donates 3 Million Won for 2025 Red Cross Special Membership Fee
Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Chung-woo) delivered the 2025 Red Cross special membership fees on the 6th at the mayor’s office in City Hall, with Lee Jae-jung, Chairman of the Gyeonggi Province Branch of the Korean Red Cross, and the Chairman of the Yeoju District Council of the Korean Red Cross Volunteer Association in attendance.

In particular, this year, to overcome the difficult economic situation together and to promote a culture of donation and encourage Red Cross membership fee collection, the amount was increased by 2 million KRW from previous years to a total of 3 million KRW.
Mayor Lee Chung-woo said, “I am grateful for the Korean Red Cross’s humanitarian activities such as disaster relief support, assistance to vulnerable groups, volunteer activities, and blood donation supply, and I am pleased to participate in this meaningful cause.”
Yeoju City pays special membership fees annually to help neighbors in need and various disaster relief activities, and the fees delivered on this day will be used for the Red Cross’s emergency disaster relief activities, support for vulnerable groups in welfare blind spots, and other humanitarian projects.
Red Cross membership fees are collected throughout the year, with a focused collection period from December 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025.
