The Sentry is a ‘champion of champions’ event where last season’s tournament winners and players ranked within the top 50 in the FedEx Cup standings can compete. This year, a total of 59 players participated. Im started in 4th place, six strokes behind the leader, and recorded eight birdies without any bogeys. He gained momentum with ‘stepping stone birdies’ on holes 3 and 5, followed by consecutive birdies on holes 9 and 10. He then added three consecutive birdies from holes 14 to 16 and another birdie on the final 18th hole (par 5), but there were not enough holes left to make a comeback. Im has won twice on the PGA Tour, with his last victory at the Shriners Children’s Open in October 2021.
