Yeongju City Invites Yeongju University Students Living in Seoul to 'Happy Dormitory'
Monthly Housing Support of 100,000 Won
Yeongju City (Mayor Park Nam-seo) announced on the 6th that it will select 10 students (4 males, 6 females) to enter four Happy Dormitories located in Seoul.
This selection of residents is conducted for moving into the following dormitories in accordance with an agreement with the Korea Private School Promotion Foundation: ▲ Hongje Happy Dormitory ▲ Dongsomun Happy Dormitory ▲ Doksandong Dormitory-type Youth Housing ▲ Gaebongdong Dormitory-type Youth Housing.
Eligibility requirements include ▲ freshmen or enrolled students of universities (including junior colleges) located in Seoul ▲ graduates (or expected graduates) of high schools in Yeongju City (for students from arts, physical education, or GED backgrounds, graduation from elementary or middle school is required) ▲ students who have resided in Yeongju City for more than one year as of the announcement date (January 6) based on their resident registration (final date of moving in).
Selected students must apply according to the regular recruitment schedule of the respective Happy Dormitory using the acceptance certificate issued by Yeongju City. Final selected students will receive a monthly housing allowance of 100,000 KRW from the Yeongju City Talent Development Scholarship Foundation.
Applications can be submitted in person or by mail from the 7th to the 21st, and the selection results are expected to be announced within this month. Park Nam-seo, Chairman of the Yeongju City Talent Development Scholarship Foundation, stated, “The Happy Dormitory support project is designed to provide practical assistance to students facing difficult housing conditions,” and added, “We ask for the interest and participation of many freshmen and enrolled students of universities located in Seoul.”
