Abko Wins 8 Billion KRW Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Charging Locker Contract... "Benefiting from AI Digital Textbook Project"
Abko, a specialized company in gaming gear and remote integrated control Internet of Things (IoT) charging storage lockers, has successfully secured an order for charging storage lockers from the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education.
On the 6th, Abko announced that it had won an 8 billion KRW order for charging storage lockers and unmanned collection boxes for the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's 'Dibut Environment Construction Project.' The Dibut (Digital Buddy) project is aimed at providing students with learning smart devices and building systems to introduce artificial intelligence (AI) and digital textbooks.
Abko is actively expanding its smart device charging storage locker business, such as for laptops, Chromebooks, and tablet PCs, under the 'PadBank' brand. PadBank applies IoT applications to support checking the status of charging items and lockers, adjusting charging efficiency, door control, and enables remote integrated management by supervisors. In particular, safety has been significantly enhanced by applying a fire prevention system.
A company official said, "Following last year, we have proven our excellent technology and competitiveness by successfully securing large-scale orders in the charging storage locker business from the beginning of this year," adding, "The ordered quantity is scheduled to be delivered before the new semester starts, which is expected to greatly help improve first-quarter performance."
He continued, "As business expansion for building smart schools is planned mainly around the Seoul and Gyeonggi Offices of Education, which have a large number of students, it is expected that PadBank orders and sales will continue to grow in the future."
