Renault Korea's Domestic Sales Reach 40,000 Units Last Year... Grand Koleos Accounts for Half
Renault Korea achieved an annual sales performance of 106,939 units last year, with 39,816 units sold domestically and 67,123 units exported. Notably, in the domestic market, the new Grand Koleos accounted for more than half of the annual sales of around 40,000 units.
On the 3rd, Renault Korea announced that the mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) Grand Koleos sold 22,034 units in the domestic market last year. In particular, about 95% of the cumulative sales of the Grand Koleos were hybrid models, proving the popularity of hybrids in the domestic market. Last year, 20,953 units of the Grand Koleos E-Tech Hybrid were sold.
Additionally, Renault Korea’s steady seller QM6 sold 7,813 units in the domestic market last year, surpassing a cumulative sales volume of 250,000 units. Following that, the coupe-type SUVs Arkana and XM3 contributed to domestic sales with 5,932 and 2,937 units sold, respectively.
Renault Korea’s annual export performance last year totaled 67,123 units, including 58,801 units of Arkana and 8,301 units of QM6. This represents an 18% decrease compared to the previous year. However, exports in December increased by 45.2% year-on-year to 7,569 units, thanks to strong performances by Arkana, QM6, and others.
