Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Bang Se-hwan) announced on the 3rd that it has designated and is operating the first "Public Late-Night Pharmacy," which operates until midnight 365 days a year, including holidays, starting from the 1st.

The first public late-night pharmacy designated by the city is "Optima Somang Pharmacy," located in Gyean-dong, which operates daily until midnight, including holidays, with support from national funds and Gwangju City.
The public late-night pharmacy is expected to play a significant role in alleviating citizens' inconvenience in purchasing medicines during late-night hours and minimizing misuse and side effects of medicines through professional medication guidance from pharmacists.

Mayor Bang Se-hwan stated, "We will spare no support to ensure that citizens do not experience inconvenience in using the public late-night pharmacy for its stable operation," and added, "We plan to expand the operation of Gwangju City's public late-night pharmacies by region after reviewing the feasibility of the project."
