SK Ecoplant to Relocate Headquarters to Yeongdeungpo in 2027
"Expecting Synergy from Integration with SK Eco Engineering"
SK ecoplant will relocate its headquarters from Susong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul to Yangpyeong-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu in the second half of 2027.
According to the industry on the 2nd, SK ecoplant has confirmed the relocation of its headquarters to the Yangpyeong-dong office building, for which it is responsible for construction, and signed a master lease contract with LB Asset Management, the developer. The building is scheduled to be completed in 2027.
Along with the headquarters relocation, SK ecoplant's subsidiary, SK ecoengineering, will also move to the same building. The company stated, "We expect that having SK ecoengineering move in together will improve work efficiency."
Industry insiders analyze that SK ecoplant's decision is also related to the soaring rents in the Central Business District (CBD).

According to a report by Cushman & Wakefield Korea, a global real estate services firm, the average office rent per pyeong (approximately 3.3㎡) in major business districts of Seoul, including the CBD, in the third quarter was about 120,000 KRW, up 3.4% compared to the same period last year. This is the highest level since the third quarter of 2021.
