View original imageThe police have launched a compulsory investigation in connection with the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster that occurred at Muan International Airport in Jeonnam.
The investigation headquarters for the Jeju Air passenger plane accident announced that from 9 a.m. on the 2nd, they had conducted searches and seizures at three locations: the office of the department in charge at Muan Airport, the Muan branch of the Busan Regional Office of Aviation, and the Seoul office of Jeju Air.
The police stated, "We plan to swiftly and strictly determine the cause and responsibility for this accident in accordance with the law and principles."
Previously, the police have been taking strong action against malicious online posts that insult the victims and bereaved families of the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster.
As of this morning, the Cyber Crime Investigation Unit of the Jeonnam Police Agency has opened investigations into a total of four cases and has deleted or blocked 125 posts through its own monitoring.
