Ruling Party Leadership Visits National Cemetery on New Year's Day... Kwon Young-se Says "Political Stability Is the Top Priority"
Emergency Response Committee Chairman Kwon Young-se and Floor Leader Kwon Seong-dong, along with the leadership of the People Power Party, paid their respects at the National Seoul Memorial Cemetery in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, on January 1, the first day of the new year.
After offering flowers and incense, Chairman Kwon observed a moment of silence. In the guestbook, he wrote, "The Republic of Korea was established through the dedication of our patriotic martyrs. We will protect it as the People Power Party." Speaking to reporters, he emphasized, "The first priority to protect our Republic of Korea is to stabilize the government." He added, "I am more convinced that the People Power Party, which I believe is the only force capable of properly leading our country, must unite and reform to regain the support of the people."

Joining the visit to the memorial cemetery were Policy Committee Chairman Kim Sang-hoon and all Emergency Response Committee members Im E-ja, Choi Hyung-doo, Kim Yong-tae, and Choi Bo-yoon.
