Acting Minister of Justice: "We Will Do Our Best to Protect and Support Victims of Jeju Air Disaster"
Kim Seok-woo, Acting Minister of Justice, conveyed that the Ministry of Justice, centered around the Emergency Response Headquarters established within the ministry, will work closely with related agencies and do its utmost to ensure the prompt protection and support of the victims in connection with the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster.
According to the Ministry of Justice on the 30th, Acting Minister Kim said, "I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved families who are experiencing great shock and sorrow due to this accident," and gave these instructions.
The Ministry of Justice has formed an Emergency Response Headquarters with Seung Jae-hyun, Director of the Human Rights Bureau, as the head in relation to this disaster. Since the majority of the deceased victims are ordinary citizens in family units, a 'Serious Disaster Victim Legal Support Group' has been organized with the Korea Legal Aid Corporation, Legal Home Doctor, and Village Lawyers to provide legal support on-site for the recovery of damages to the victims and their families.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Justice emphasized that it will do its utmost to protect and support the victims by providing psychological healing and temporary safe accommodation through the Smile Center in cooperation with the National Trauma Center, as well as support through the One-Stop Solution Center and the Crime Victim Support Center.
