Toss Securities Launches Dollar Remittance Service
Toss Securities announced on the 30th that it will start a 'Dollar Remittance Service' to enhance the convenience of American investments for its customers. By using this service, funds can be sent and received without converting dollars into Korean won.
Until now, Toss Securities customers could not directly remit dollars from other accounts they held. They had to convert dollars into won, receive the funds in a won account, and then exchange them back into dollars to send money to their Toss Securities dollar account. The same process applied when sending dollars.
This process has been eliminated through the Dollar Remittance Service. Customers can transfer funds from their Toss Securities dollar account by selecting 'Send Dollar,' and receive dollars from other accounts by selecting 'Bring Dollar,' moving dollars without currency exchange.
'Bring Dollar' can be used through a virtual account at Hana Bank, which is partnered with this service. When dollars are deposited into the virtual account number linked to the account number, it can be immediately confirmed in the Toss Securities account. Deposits are accepted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
