Kim Moon-soo, Minister of Employment and Labor, expressed "deep condolences and regrets to the bereaved families" regarding the passenger plane accident at Muan International Airport in Jeonnam that occurred on the 29th, and instructed to "mobilize all available resources to promptly manage the accident and provide maximum support for industrial accident compensation and trauma counseling.

View original imageThe Ministry of Employment and Labor immediately dispatched about 10 personnel, including industrial safety supervisors from the Gwangju Regional Office and Mokpo Branch Office, as well as officials from the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, to the site of the accident. In addition, the heads of the Gwangju Employment and Labor Office and Mokpo Branch Office were urgently sent to the scene to investigate the circumstances of the accident and identify its cause, strengthening cooperation with related agencies such as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the police.
Through on-site counseling by the Gwangju and Jeonju Job Trauma Centers, trauma counseling will be provided for the injured, fellow workers, and bereaved families. For psychological support for general passengers and bereaved families, collaboration with related ministries such as the Ministry of Health and Welfare has been planned.

They will actively guide on-site consultations for industrial accident compensation claimants and industrial accident insurance claims, and provide prompt compensation support for bereaved family compensation and medical care benefit applications.
