The capacity is 25 children for regular care and 10 children for temporary care, and any elementary school student in the district can apply. Pre-registration is currently open on the ‘Our Neighborhood Care Portal’ website.
The operating hours are from 1 PM to 8 PM on weekdays during the school term, and from 9 AM to 6 PM during school vacations. The center is staffed with a center director and care teachers who provide one-stop customized care services including problem-based learning (PBL), art, physical education, reading, special programs, child counseling, and meal and snack provision.
Meanwhile, starting with the ‘Our Neighborhood Care Center Yangcheon Branch No. 1’ opened in 2019, the district currently operates a total of eight Our Neighborhood Care Centers, including seven district-run centers and one city-run center, up to the newly opened Branch No. 7. Through operating various types of care centers (general, integrated, and hub types), the district is promoting tailored support to meet diverse childcare needs. Additionally, when the Yangcheon Childcare Town is completed in the second half of next year, the district plans to establish ‘Yangcheon Branch No. 8’ to realize seamless community-centered childcare.
