Fire authorities, responding to a report from a nearby factory official, deployed 29 pieces of equipment and 87 personnel to extinguish the fire.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, it is estimated that about 100 tons of household waste were piled up inside the facility.
Workers had finished their tasks and left by around 7 PM, and no casualties have been reported so far.
