The National Human Rights Commission of Korea (NHRCK) announced on the 27th that it has appointed Lee Seok-jun, Director of the Policy and Education Bureau, as the new Secretary-General.

View original imageSecretary-General Lee began his public service career in April 1992 and started working at the NHRCK Secretariat in April 2002. Since then, he has held various positions at the NHRCK, including Director of the Human Rights Policy Division, Director of the Disability Discrimination Investigation Division 1, Planning and Coordination Officer, and Director of the Policy and Education Bureau. He has also served as acting Secretary-General three times.
