Yeoncheon-gun Selected as an 'Outstanding Medical Aid Project Institution' for Two Consecutive Years
Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province announced on the 27th that it has been selected as an ‘Excellent Medical Aid Project Institution’ for two consecutive years in 2023 and 2024 in the Medical Aid Project evaluation hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare comprehensively evaluated 11 indicators across 5 areas including medical aid performance for beneficiaries, medical aid case management, and home medical aid project operation for local governments nationwide, selecting 18 outstanding local government institutions.
The Medical Aid Project is a program in which the government provides medical services such as examination, testing, and treatment for diseases, injuries, childbirth, etc., occurring to citizens who are unable or have difficulty maintaining their livelihood.
Since July, Yeoncheon-gun has been promoting the ‘Home Medical Aid’ project that provides necessary services to help long-term hospitalized patients return to daily life stably. In particular, it has been focusing on case management for excessive medical aid users and conducting rotating education by town and township as well as one-on-one home visits for new medical aid beneficiaries, striving for differentiated case management.
