Dangjin Sarang Gift Certificate Discount Rate to Increase from 7% to 10% for January Next Year

View original imageOn the 26th, Dangjin City in Chungnam Province announced that it will temporarily increase the discount rate for the Dangjin Sarang Gift Certificate from 7% to 10% for the month of January next year.
The mobile gift certificate can be purchased through the mobile app 'Chak' starting at 10 a.m. on January 1st next year, while the paper version will be available from January 2nd at 57 designated sales agencies.
The sales agencies include local Nonghyup, Livestock Cooperatives, Credit Unions, Saemaeul Geumgo, Post Offices, and Hana Bank. More detailed information can be found on the Dangjin City Hall website.
The Dangjin Sarang Gift Certificate can be used at over 6,000 affiliated stores in the region, including restaurants, supermarkets, and academies.
However, in accordance with the comprehensive guidelines of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's Local Gift Certificate Issuance Support Project, businesses with annual sales exceeding 3 billion KRW, such as large supermarkets, major hospitals, and gas stations, are restricted from registering as affiliated stores and cannot accept the gift certificate.
A city official said, "We hope that, with the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday, this measure will help ease the financial burden on citizens and revive subdued consumption to benefit small business owners."
