Goyang Industry Promotion Agency Signs Business Agreement for Goyang Smart City Development

Cooperation between Goyang Urban Management Corporation, Dongguk University BMC, and Ilsan Dongbu Police Station

Gyeonggi Goyang Industry Promotion Agency (Director Han Dong-gyun) announced on the 26th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the 23rd with Goyang Urban Management Corporation, Dongguk University Biomedical Campus (BMC), and Ilsan Dongbu Police Station for the development of Goyang Special City as a smart city.

The signing ceremony was attended by Han Dong-gyun, Director of Goyang Industry Promotion Agency; Kang Seung-pil, President of Goyang Urban Management Corporation; Kim Dae-young, Administrative Director of Dongguk University BMC; and Kang Chan-gu, Chief of Ilsan Dongbu Police Station, among other officials.

This agreement was established to strengthen human and material cooperation systems among institutions to solve local issues within Goyang City and develop a citizen-centered smart city.

On the day, each institution discussed various cooperation plans involving human and material resources, including ▲ joint policy development for smart city advancement and local problem-solving ▲ activation of living labs ▲ support for corporate verification.

Director Han Dong-gyun stated, “This agreement will serve as a significant foundation for creating a Goyang smart city industrial ecosystem by utilizing Goyang City's infrastructure to identify local issues causing inconvenience to citizens and applying advanced technologies from small and medium-sized enterprises to solve them.” He added, “We will strive to create a sustainable smart city through future cooperation with various local institutions.”
