View original imageThe Gwangju City Council (Chairperson Shin Sujeong) held a 'Sharing Love Donation Ceremony' for marginalized neighbors in the main conference room of the council on the 26th to mark the end of the year.
At the ceremony, the 'Y-MART YB Association' donated 1 million won in sponsorship funds and gift certificates worth 5 million won, which can be used at all Y-MART stores, to social welfare organizations connected by the city and district councils, wishing for a warm year-end for neighbors in need.
The YB Association, comprised of young representatives and store managers of Y-MART in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions, has consistently practiced love-sharing donation activities.
Chairperson Shin Sujeong said, "I deeply appreciate the Y-MART YB Association for their practice of neighborly love, giving warmth to those in need and working to revitalize the local economy," and added, "I hope this will be of some help to marginalized neighbors as the local economy faces difficulties due to high prices and high interest rates."
