Members of the Gwangju Seo-gu Council were recognized for their contributions to the development of the local community through active legislative activities for the residents.
The Gwangju Seo-gu Council announced on the 26th that it was recently selected as the "Best Legislative Organization" in the legislative policy category linked to the Korea Local Autonomy Evaluation, hosted by the Yeouido Policy Research Institute.

View original imageThe Local Autonomy Evaluation Legislative Policy Award is evaluated by the public interest organization Monitoring Korea and is given to those who have contributed to the development of local autonomy legislation in Korea and improved the quality of life of local residents by promoting the activation of the local autonomy system, enhancing quality of life, and implementing competitive regional development policies.
During this year, the Gwangju Seo-gu Council, led by Chairman Jeon Seung-il and 13 council members, was recognized for their active legislative activities for regional development and efforts in enacting policies and ordinances for socially vulnerable groups, making it the only basic council nationwide to receive this award.
