The participating students showed great interest in the seven departments under the College of Social Sciences at Busan National University (Department of Public Administration, Department of Political Science and Diplomacy, Department of Social Welfare, Department of Sociology, Department of Psychology, Department of Library and Information Science, and Department of Media Communication). Through hands-on activities prepared by each department and meetings with current students, they had time to deeply consider their career paths.
The event was conducted in two parts. The first part consisted of an overall introduction to Busan National University, the College of Social Sciences, each department, and the student council. In the second part, department-specific booths were operated, providing participating students with opportunities to directly communicate with Busan National University students and understand and experience the characteristics of each department. In particular, hands-on activities using equipment and information related to certifications were prepared by each department, which received enthusiastic responses from the participating students.
During a meeting with the accompanying teachers, there were requests from teachers for the continuous operation of social sciences programs for high school students, which have relatively fewer opportunities compared to science and engineering fields.
