Namyangju City Achieves Excellence Award in Gyeonggi-do Social Economy Public Procurement Best Practices Evaluation
Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 23rd that it won the Excellence Award and a prize of 3 million KRW in the Gyeonggi-do Social Economy Public Procurement Best Practices Evaluation for its case of ‘Establishing a Local Care System Linked with Social Economy.’
The Gyeonggi-do Public Procurement Best Practices Evaluation was held to realize social value in public institutions within the province and to revitalize the social economy ecosystem.
This year, one excellent case and three encouragement cases were selected across Gyeonggi-do, with Namyangju City being the only recipient of the Excellence Award.
Namyangju City actively promoted strengthening the capabilities of social economy enterprises by supporting the establishment of social cooperatives active in the care sector, providing startup spaces, and sharing best practices.
Based on this, the city received high evaluations for effectively resolving care blind spots by establishing a local care system such as the Dahamkke Care Center and Neulbom Sharing School.
Additionally, in November, through hosting the Gyeonggi Northern Value Purchase Consultation Meeting, the city has been making multifaceted efforts to activate public procurement, discovering and implementing policies that expand market channels for social economy enterprises and support sustainable growth.
