Seosan City Hosts National Award Ceremony for Cheonsuman Ecological Photography Contest
Lee Geumsuk Wins Gold Prize for 'Cheonsuman's Rare Guest 1'

View original imageOn the 20th, Seosan City in Chungnam held the awards ceremony for the 2024 Seosan Cheonsuman National Ecological Photo Contest at Seosan Birdland.
Hosted by Seosan City and organized by the Korea Photographers Association, the contest received over 280 entries between July 1 and November 18.
The city accepted works themed around the wildlife and landscapes of Seosan Cheonsuman, and awarded 6 winning entries and 45 honorable mentions at the ceremony.
The grand prize went to Lee Geumsuk's "Cheonsuman's Rare Visitor 1," which captured the dynamic movement of geese in Seosan Cheonsuman. The silver prizes were awarded to Kim Geumyoung's "Birdland Panorama" and Kim Daehyung's "Into the Sun 2."

View original imageThe bronze prizes were given to Choi Sunmok's "Mallard Flock 1," Cho Pyeongho's "Leopard Cat," and Hwang Cheolsun's "Alone."
The city plans to showcase the winning and selected works at the Seosan Birdland photo exhibition in February next year and use them to promote Seosan Cheonsuman.
Kim Jonggil, director of the Seosan Birdland Project Office, said, "We thank all participants for vividly capturing the beautiful ecosystem of Cheonsuman," adding, "We will actively utilize the winning works to widely promote the excellent environment of Seosan Cheonsuman."
