Daejeon Office of Education Achieves Grade 2 in Comprehensive Integrity... Integrity Perception Rises by Two Levels
Achievements Including Expansion of Integrity Assessment for High-ranking Public Officials
The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it achieved Grade 2 in the 2024 Comprehensive Integrity Assessment of Public Institutions conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
Compared to last year, Daejeon Office of Education improved by one grade in integrity efforts and by two grades in perceived integrity, resulting in an overall integrity grade of 2, one grade higher than the previous year. The significant improvement in perceived integrity, which had been relatively weak, led to this advancement.
To enhance both internal and external perceived integrity, which had previously been low, the Daejeon Office of Education expanded the scope of integrity assessments for high-ranking officials, strengthened monitoring of corruption-prone areas, and introduced measures such as the anonymous proxy reporting system called the "Safe Lawyer System."
Seol Dongho, Superintendent of Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, "Achieving Grade 2 in integrity is the result of the dedicated efforts of all faculty and staff at schools and institutions to spread a culture of integrity," adding, "We will continue to build a more trustworthy and transparent education system in Daejeon through communication and cooperation."
