Guri-si Achieves 'Grade 2' in 2024 Public Institution Comprehensive Integrity Evaluation
Increased by 2 Levels Compared to Last Year
The city of Guri, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 19th that it achieved a comprehensive integrity rating of Grade 2 in the 2024 Public Institution Comprehensive Integrity Evaluation announced by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, rising two levels from last year through diligent efforts for integrity and self-purification.
The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission announces the results of the comprehensive integrity evaluation conducted annually on 460 public institutions nationwide.
The comprehensive integrity evaluation is widely recognized as a measure of the integrity level of public institutions, combining the ‘Integrity Perception’ assessed by civil petitioners with experience in public institutions and internal public officials, the ‘Integrity Effort’ evaluating anti-corruption efforts over one year, and the status of corruption incidents.
In this year’s evaluation, Guri achieved a score 3.6 points higher than the average of 75 basic local governments in the same evaluation group nationwide, and with a significant increase of 7.7 points across detailed indicators compared to last year, it was finally selected as Grade 2.
In particular, it received an outstandingly high score in the external integrity category, earning an evaluation from citizens that it conducts fair and honest administrative work.
Last year, to improve the shortcomings in the comprehensive integrity results, all employees, led by Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun, pledged integrity and faithfully implemented anti-corruption and integrity policies to create an honest Guri City.
