The morning low temperatures are forecasted to be between -11 and 0 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs between 3 and 10 degrees Celsius.
Between the 18th and early morning of the 19th, rain or snow is expected in Gangwon East Coast and mountainous areas, Gyeongbuk East Coast and northeastern mountains, Jeju Island, and until early morning in Ulsan.
The expected snowfall over the two days until the 19th is 3 to 10 cm in central and southern Gangwon East Coast and mountains, Gyeongbuk East Coast and northeastern mountains, Ulleungdo and Dokdo (with more than 15 cm in some southern East Coast areas), 1 to 5 cm in northern Gangwon East Coast and mountains and mid-mountain areas of Jeju Island, 5 to 10 cm in Jeju Island mountains, and around 1 cm in Ulsan.
The expected precipitation amounts are 5 to 15 mm in central and southern Gangwon East Coast and mountains, around 5 mm in northern Gangwon East Coast and mountains, 5 to 10 mm in Gyeongbuk East Coast and northeastern mountains, Ulleungdo and Dokdo, and Jeju Island, and around 1 mm in Ulsan.
In particular, strong and wet heavy snow falling at about 3 cm per hour is expected in central and southern Gangwon East Coast and mountains, Gyeongbuk East Coast and northeastern mountains, and Ulleungdo and Dokdo, while Jeju Island mountains will see heavy snowfall of 1 to 2 cm per hour. Caution is advised to prevent damage caused by the snow.
