SHINee Taemin's YouTube Hacked Again... "Strong Legal Action"
SHINee member Taemin's YouTube channel has once again been hacked.
On the 16th, the agency Big Planet Made Entertainment released an official statement saying, "Around 3 a.m. on the 15th, hacking activity was detected once again on the official YouTube channel of our artist Taemin. Upon recognizing the hacking situation, we immediately completed recovery and related measures, and on the morning of the 15th, we submitted and reported the suspicious hacking ID and related information to YouTube."
They continued, "However, YouTube notified us around 1 p.m. today (the 16th) that the channel would be deleted due to a violation of the channel community guidelines, and the channel is currently closed. Despite our thorough use of complex password combinations, two-factor authentication, and strict security maintenance to prevent hacking, an unexpected situation occurred. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern caused to our fans."
The agency added, "We are currently discussing a quick resolution with YouTube, and both parties are continuously communicating to clarify the facts as soon as possible. We will do our best to restore the channel at the earliest possible time. Furthermore, regarding this repeated hacking attempt on Taemin’s YouTube channel, we will take strong legal actions, including reporting the matter to the police." They concluded, "We ask for the understanding of users who have experienced inconvenience due to this sudden situation, and we will proceed with prompt recovery efforts."
Previously, Taemin’s channel was also hacked in September. At that time, when accessing Big Planet Made Entertainment’s YouTube channel, the logo had been changed to "Tesla," and only Elon Musk’s speech videos were posted. This phenomenon affected not only the company’s official channel but also the official YouTube channels of affiliated artists such as Taemin, Lee Seung-gi, and the girl group Bad Villain.
Below is the full statement from the agency
