On the 13th, KBS announced, "The red carpet for the '2024 KBS Entertainment Awards' scheduled for the 21st will not be held this year." KBS added, "Photos from the live broadcast, including award recipients and congratulatory stages, will be provided," and explained, "A delay of about 30 minutes is expected."
This decision appears to consider the recent chaotic situation following President Yoon Seok-yeol's declaration and lifting of martial law, the subsequent impeachment motion against the president, and the impeachment rallies held in Yeouido, where KBS is located. As a result, unusually, the '2024 KBS Entertainment Awards' will cancel the red carpet event and focus solely on the awards ceremony.
