Guidance for Students to Return Home After On-Site Rally
Amid rallies calling for the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol taking place in downtown Seoul this week, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 14th that it will activate a Student Safety Task Force to ensure the safety of students participating in the rallies.
On the 13th, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education stated in a press release, "We have urgently mobilized about 250 affiliated staff members and formed the Student Safety Task Force into three teams (Situation Room, On-site Response Team, and First Aid Team)."
As student participation in the rallies has recently increased, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education plans to deploy staff to the Yeouido and Gwanghwamun areas to prepare for emergencies and maintain a rapid response system. The Student Safety Task Force will operate from the 14th until the final conclusion of the rallies.
The Situation Room, established at the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, will monitor the situation in real time and cooperate with related organizations to build an immediate response system, providing comprehensive support for student safety measures.

View original imageThe On-site Response Team (192 members) will work in pairs on-site from two hours before the rally begins until it disperses. They will be stationed around the rally locations and will guide students to return home safely after the rally ends.
The First Aid Team (48 members) will work alongside the On-site Response Team and provide first aid support in case of student safety incidents on-site.
