Reflecting on the Essential Value of Intangible Heritage through 'Sigan-ui Baram'
National Intangible Heritage Center Year-End Performance
The National Intangible Heritage Center of the Cultural Heritage Administration will present 'Signal: Wind of Time' at 4 p.m. on the 14th at the Eolssoomaru Grand Theater.
This is a year-end performance that carries the meaning of concluding the year and welcoming a hopeful new year. Through a journey to find the meaning of communication across eras, it reflects on the essential value of intangible heritage that connects tradition and the present.
Directed by Lim Young-ho, director of 'Mughyungseongchan (無形盛饌)', and choreographed by Korean dancer Lee Dong-jun. The music is handled by artist Lim Yong-joo, who experiments with traditional music and traditional instruments.
On stage are Park Dong-young, holder of the National Intangible Heritage Milyang Baekjung Nori, along with the Milyang Baekjung Nori Preservation Society, singer Lee Na-rae, storyteller Chu Hyun-jong, National Intangible Heritage Seungmu master Jeon Bo-hyun, pure folk music group Sincheongakhoe, Yeonhee Company Yuhee, and Korean Dance Company Gyeol.
