Suspension and Separate Dispatch of Intelligence Commander Moon Sang-ho
The Ministry of National Defense has suspended Mun Sang-ho (Army Major General), the commander of the Army Intelligence Command, a direct unit under its jurisdiction. The number of military generals suspended and reassigned by the Ministry of National Defense has increased to six.
On the 10th, the Ministry of National Defense announced that it had suspended and reassigned Commander Mun, who was confirmed to be involved in the December 3 emergency martial law incident, effective that day. Considering the investigation conditions, the Ministry stated that Commander Mun was placed on standby at a unit located in the Seoul metropolitan area.
The Ministry of National Defense responded to domestic media reports that intelligence personnel were deployed to the Central Election Commission located in Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, at the time of the emergency martial law declaration and filmed the computer room servers, stating, "There are such circumstances," and "This is a matter that needs to be confirmed through investigation." According to CCTV footage released by the Election Commission, the personnel who filmed the computer room servers wore the rank insignia of a colonel.

Then, on the 8th, the Ministry also decided to suspend and reassign Jeong Seong-woo, the head of the 1st Division of the Counterintelligence Command (Army Brigadier General nominee), and Kim Dae-woo, the head of the Counterintelligence Command Investigation Unit (Navy Rear Admiral), who commanded the counterintelligence personnel and agents dispatched to the National Assembly and the Election Commission at the time of the emergency martial law declaration.
