Pocheon-si, Myeonam Central Library Completes 'My Life Picture Book Publishing Program'
Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 9th that Myeonam Central Library successfully concluded the program "Publishing My Life Picture Book - Becoming a One-Person Picture Book Author."

View original imageHeld over eight sessions, this course was conducted in a way that participants expressed their lives and experiences through writing and drawing to create original picture books. Participants actively engaged in the entire picture book production process, completing 20 picture books containing their own stories, experiencing the joy and sense of accomplishment of creation.
One participant said, "I have always been interested in drawing and writing, but this was my first time making a picture book," adding, "It was meaningful to complete a picture book containing my own story."

A Pocheon City library official stated, "We hope this program, based on humanistic imagination and creativity, provided participants with an opportunity for self-expression," and added, "We will continue to operate various humanities programs that allow people to demonstrate creativity and express themselves."
