Namyangju City Lights the Beacon of Hope with Christmas Thanksgiving Worship Service
Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Ju Gwang-deok) announced on the 9th that it held the ‘2024 Christmas Thanksgiving Worship and Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony’ together with the Namyangju Christian Council (Chairman Kim Gu-nyeon) at the city hall square on the 7th.

View original imageThe event was attended by about 400 people including Mayor Ju Gwang-deok of Namyangju City, Chairman Kim Gu-nyeon and executives of the Namyangju Christian Council, provincial and city council members, and citizens. The program proceeded in the order of △ Christmas Thanksgiving Worship △ Scholarship Awarding △ Christmas Choir Festival △ Christmas Tree Lighting.
In particular, on this day, the Namyangju Christian Council and World Vision Gyeonggi Northern Regional Headquarters delivered scholarships to a total of 50 students, adding the meaning of sharing.
Also, the Christmas Choir Festival, participated by the choirs of seven local churches and the NCMN Kids Musical Team, brought joy and emotion of Christmas to the attendees.
Chairman Kim Gu-nyeon said, “I deeply thank the local churches and citizens who participated in the event, and I hope that the joy and blessings of Christmas will fill every corner of Namyangju. I also look forward to continuing to practice the values of hope and sharing together with the local community.”
Mayor Ju Gwang-deok said, “I hope the Christmas tree lit today becomes a symbol that delivers the light of hope and love to the citizens. I also thank the local pastors and citizens who always pray for the super growth of the city.”
