Head of Corruption Investigation Office Tells National Assembly Judiciary Committee, "President Yoon Ordered Travel Ban"
Oh Dong-woon, head of the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Unit (Gong-su-cheo), announced that he ordered a request to ban President Yoon Seok-yeol from leaving the country.
On the afternoon of the same day, Oh responded to a question from Jeong Cheong-rae, chairman of the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee, during a plenary session held at the National Assembly main building in Yeouido, Seoul. When Chairman Jeong stated, "Yoon Seok-yeol is both a suspect in the charge of rebellion and the commander-in-chief of the armed forces. First, a travel ban should be imposed, and his accounts should be frozen," Oh revealed, "I have issued investigative instructions regarding the travel ban."
