Commemoration Ceremony Held on the 6th at Jungnang-gu Office Basement Auditorium to Thank and Encourage Volunteers
Certification Plaques and Medals Awarded to a Total of 441 Volunteers
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) held the "2024 Volunteer Day Ceremony" on the 6th to express gratitude and encouragement to volunteers who have practiced neighborly love throughout the year.
The ceremony was organized as a gathering for volunteers who have become a strong pillar of the local community with their exceptional affection and spirit of practice, providing an opportunity to encourage each other for their activities so far.
The event proceeded with a pre-ceremony congratulatory performance by Jungnang-gu’s directly managed volunteer group "YeoJeong (Jeong)" and violinist Jang Han-saem, viewing of volunteer activity videos, sharing of volunteer stories, and the awarding of certificates and medals to outstanding volunteers.
Certificates and medals were awarded based on volunteer hours. Certificates were given to the "Volunteer King" who completed 10,000 hours of service, the "5,000-hour Volunteer King," and the "1,000-hour Volunteer King." Medals were awarded to those who volunteered between 200 and 500 hours, receiving gold, silver, and bronze medals respectively.
This year, a total of 441 recipients were selected, with 2 Volunteer Kings, 1 5,000-hour Volunteer King, and 21 1,000-hour Volunteer Kings receiving certificates, and 36 gold medalists and 59 silver medalists receiving medals.
