Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, "We Will Do Our Best to Establish a Transparent Subcontracting Culture"
Mapo-gu (District Mayor Park Gang-su) has been selected as an excellent institution in Seoul's '2024 Construction Project Fair Subcontracting Promotion Status Evaluation.'
This evaluation was conducted targeting Seoul City, Seoul metropolitan institutions, and 25 autonomous districts. Mapo-gu was selected as an excellent institution for the first time, achieving a significant step forward in establishing a culture of fair subcontracting.
So far, Mapo-gu has actively promoted preventive activities such as publicity to eradicate illegal and unfair subcontracting practices in public construction projects.
In addition, joint inspections were conducted with Seoul City, and any issues found on-site were reported to the relevant departments to request prompt action.

Along with this, since March 2011, Mapo-gu has operated a Subcontracting Corruption Reporting Center, mediating and coordinating reports of subcontracting corruption occurring in construction projects ordered by the district office or its affiliated institutions.
This year, regarding two complaints received by the Illegal Subcontracting Corruption Reporting Center, achievements were made by obtaining corrective actions for the primary contractors and agreements on payment.
